Gwent Music provides a complete range of music tuition and music services which meet the needs and aspirations of all pupils, educational establishments and local communities within Blaenau Gwent, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen.

Whether you are a child or an adult and would like to learn to play the violin, tuba, clarinet, xylophone or many other instruments, learn to sing in a choir, play samba drums or rap and beat box with a crew, Gwent Music can support your learning.

Gwent Music teaches both within schools and privately.  It also organises in the region of 2,000 musical events and activities every year including concerts, pop-up performances, participation in musical competitions, musical courses and trips to perform around the UK, Europe and even the U.S.

In the last year alone one of Gwent Music's ensembles won the tremendous accolade of Band Ieuenctid Cymru (Youth Band Wales) which was televised on S4C, gained a platinum award from the National Concert Band Festival, and performed at the National Eisteddod in Abergavenny.

Gwent Music is also closely linked to national music education charity Music for Youth and participates in its festival season.  This season begins for Gwent Music with a regional festival in Newport in March and continues on to a national festival in Birmingham in July.
