Since March 2016, James at the Seafood Bar, in Ross-On-Wye, has been wowing people with its spectacular seafood dishes.

Chef James Teague, which the restaurant is named after, has been working within the industry for more than 20 years.

“Our aim is to provide diners with fresh, responsibly-sourced top quality seafood and speciality dishes in a friendly relaxing environment,” James told Voice.

“We offer an exciting and ever-changing seasonal menu, which is freshly-prepared using fantastic seasonal produce, allowing our regular returning customers to sample new options and specials.

“Throughout the year we offer themed dish days, such as paella. Last year we held a Champagne and Oysters Day and we have big plans to continue these popular days throughout 2018.

“We also work alongside local businesses in particular to support an extensive wine, beer and cider provision to compliment the dishes on our menu.

“We are very fortunate to be able to smoke our fish on site, and due to demand hope to soon be able to sell smoked salmon and trout from the Food Emporium store, also located at Labels.

“Not only do we offer an immense selection of seafood, we also offer chicken, lamb and steak dishes, the meat for which is supplied by Labels’ own butcher.

“Children are most welcome too, where they can choose smaller portions from the main menu or try a classic dish from our café menu.”

Food is served almost every day of the year except Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. Breakfast is served daily until 11.45am, with lunch being served from noon to 3pm.

There is an open kitchen which offers the chance to chat with the chefs and watch them freshly prepare your dish.

Under the same roof you can also visit Labels’ own butcher and browse a variety of brands for you, your family and your home.

Why not pay them a visit this spring? You’ll be glad that you did!
