Llanwern High School has facilities which it claims are the best of any state school in Wales. It is helping revolutionise the educational experiences and life skills of the 1,000 pupils who currently attend the school. And it continues to see significant improvements in GCSE results.

Llanwern High School has been built to house 1,450 pupils such is the demand over the next few years as pupils across Newport look to take advantage of the facilities and educational opportunities available. Any families interested in their children attending this rapidly evolving school can contact the school on 01633 411116.

Pupils go to Llanwern High School from the east of the city of Newport. In future, however, the school will benefit from the growing St Modwen’s development on part of the former Llanwern Steelworks site.

The school and community have access to outstanding facilities. Coupled with an increase in educational standards and a rise in student numbers, the future of the school is very bright.

The school has close links to both business and sporting clubs to provide pupils with life enhancing opportunities and experiences. It has also recently installed a new 3G floodlit surface and bookings are currently being taken for the 2016-17 season.

LLANWERN HIGH SCHOOL IS LOCATED ON HARTRIDGE FARM ROAD, NEWPORT NP18 2YE.
