From bug hunts and paper crafts to quirky tours and servant challenges, Tredegar House has pulled out all the stops to make this summer a memorable one.

With a long break ahead for you and your kids we’ve put together a jam-packed programme of activities for every day of the week.

Whether you uncover those areas of the house that have made their way onto the big screen for Fabulous Film Mondays, explore Tredegar House’s quirky side with a variety of activities on Wacky Wednesdays or get up close and personal with some creepy crawlies for Wonderful Beasts every Friday there really is something to keep the whole family entertained.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays we will be heading down to the park to tick off some of the 50 things to do before you’re 11¾, the National Trust’s ultimate children’s bucket list. Learn how to survive in the great outdoors, get messy with somewild art or put your heads together and build a winning raft for the lake.Every weekend you can take your chances with our Mystery Meander on Saturdays and learn to make ice cream with our traditional recipe in the Great Kitchen on Sundays.

Over the August Bank Holiday we’re throwing things back to the 1930s with our annual Garden Party. Have a game of croquet or kick back on the lawn with an icy treat.

It’s the perfect way to soak up bank holiday sun. The fun doesn’t end when the nights begin to draw in.

Visit during the winter months and watch the mansion come alive with Hallowe’en and Christmas magic.Whether you don your scariest mask and try your hand at pumpkin carving or get into the festive spirit with mulled wine, mince pies and our ‘A Christmas Carol’ themed activities. Tredegar House transforms into a feast for the senses at any season.
