This year’s Monmouthshire Show is on Thursday, August 25 at the Monmouth Showground and there are lots of things to see and do for all the family! This will be the last time it is held on a Thursday as it moves to the first Saturday in July from 2017.

In the Main Ring we have the Stampede Stunt Company performing knights of jousting on horseback, also livestock and horses competing for the champions’
prizes. In the Country Matters Area there are craft demonstrations, family dog show and children’s races.

Meirion Owen is back with his Quack Pack, and also we have the Black Mountain Falconry display. Great entertainment for the family to take part in. We have everything for the family to watch and take part in.

Ever thought about yourself or your children taking part in the homecraft classes? Have a look on our website in the homecraft section – perfect to keeping the children busy over the school holidays, and there’s free entry for these classes!

Vintage vehicle fans can watch the display of tractors, classic cars and stationary engines. There are over 300 trade stands selling hot tubs to olives and jewellery to toys.

The show really does have something for everyone to see and do. Come and have a great day out there are many free things to take part in. New this year is the Monmouth Museum World War 1 Display and also a Free Children’s Treasure Hunt to find Mr Frog to win prizes.
