The Weekend Rumble is a new live music charity event that has been created in memory of two young brothers who sadly took their own lives.

All proceeds for the event will go directly to Newport Mind, which has worked for the better mental health of people in Newport for the last 40 years by providing a range of services.

On the weekend of June 29 and 30 in a field in Llansoy, near Usk, an abundance of local talent and big names will be performing to 300 attendees priced at £20 per person, which includes weekend camping space.

Friday 29 there’ll be live music from Death Traps and Bad Sam, and on Saturday 30 The Oasis Experience will be headlining.

Event organiser, Bob Rendell, told Voice:

“It’s a small, alternative event with, bands, music, entertainment, good food, beer, a custom scooter/bike show, a rideout to Llanthony Priory
and more beer.

“The farm that it’s being held at has hosted the custom chopper show The Hookup and Harley Davidson rallies so they also know their stuff.
“Places are limited to 300 tickets, but we are already talking about doing this again in 2019 so watch this space!”
