For all you pizza lovers out there, Voice highly recommends the Urban Tap House of Newport – home of Tiny Rebel Brewing Co. which is the proud sponsor of this year’s Newport Food Festival in October

This wonderful bar and restaurant sources ingredients and fresh produce from Newport’s Indoor Market, located next-door – with fresh fruit and vegetables coming from Alessandro at Love Fresh, and the majority of meat coming from AD Turners & Sons – you can’t get any fresher than that!

This September sees the launch of a new menu, where the owners have listened to customers’ demands, as they are bringing their much-loved burgers from their Cardiff premises to Newport.

“As well as launching a new beer for the food festival, we’re also launching a new menu, which is filled with a whole host of great things to eat and share,”
said director Bradley Cummings.

“Options include fries covered in a variety of toppings, which we like to call our ‘hot mess’, and a fine selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, served with hop crisps and coleslaw.

“Something we’re really excited about is bringing our popular burgers to Newport – delicious homemade patties served in a brioche bun with house fries and coleslaw.

“We’re also introducing a variety of homemade sauces for the table too, which
have been specially created by our head chef Paul Turley.

“Fans of our pizza need not fret, as we’ve introduced some new flavours for you to try, including ‘the Cardiff’, ‘the Newport’, ‘the tikka’ and ‘the Scotch Egg’.

“Pizza dough is made fresh from scratch, hand rolled and cooked to perfection
in stone bake ovens. “One of the bestsellers, which we’ve kept on the menu, has to be the signature barbecue pulled pork pizza, consisting of slow-cooked
pulled pork that melts in your mouth, ‘Dirty Stop Out’ barbecue sauce, and topped with candied bacon dust – a must try if it’s your first visit to Urban
Tap House.

“During the build-up to the food festival, the week before it starts, Tiny Rebel will have a complete take-over of the Urban Tap House, offering loads of food and drink which will be especially created. There’ll also be daily events in this week, where everyone is more than welcome to come along and enjoy the
fun. Just check out our Facebook and Twitter pages to see what’s going on.”

As well as offering a great new menu to sample, Urban Tap House also has great entertainment too, including classic vinyl Sundays, live sport being shown on a massive 8ft drop-down screen, Firestorm Games holding a gaming night every other Tuesday, and also many other events throughout the year.
