Head chef and owner Dayne Watkins’ afternoon tea is so popular, he decided to dedicate the whole of Saturday afternoon, from noon until 3pm, to serve this age-old British tradition.

Diners travel from far and wide to sample the delectable homemade sandwiches, cakes, pastries and scones that are on offer – with scones being served still warm from the oven with plenty of fresh cream and jam.

Afternoon tea is priced at £14.95 per person, and at £17.95 including a glass of Prosecco. Booking is required.

Afternoon tea is also available throughout the week for parties of 12 or more.

Lunch is served Wednesday to Friday, where you can take advantage of two courses for £12.95 – there’s a choice of six starters and several mains, as well as an option to have an additional dessert. This meal deal is available from noon until 2.30pm.

The Butterflies evening menu offers traditional homemade classics and À la carte dishes with a continental flavour, served from 5.30pm until late Tuesday to Saturday too.

Sunday lunch at Butterflies has always been extremely popular and it’s best to book at least a week in advance. Sunday lunch is priced at £15.95 for three-courses finished with coffee or tea, and is served from 1pm until 3.30pm each week. There are four different meats to choose from, as well as a vegetarian option. Booking in advance for Sunday lunch is preferred.

Planning a celebration? Butterflies makes for the perfect place to hold a special event or family occasion. Dayne and his team can also cater for larger parties and weddings of up to 70 guests, call for more details.
