The show to watch out for this season is The Company Of Wolves presented by Burn The Curtain – a theatrical re-telling of a dark and mysterious modern fairytale by British author Angela Carter. It’s a promenade theatre adventure for runners and walkers and will take place throughout Cwmcarn Forest on Thursday April 7 to Saturday, April 9 at 7.30pm.

There’s drama aplenty this season. Grav, a play which celebrates the man and the legend Ray Gravell will be here performed on February 27 and the beautiful Welsh tale Windsongs of the Blessed Bay is on March 1.

Hijinx Theatre makes a welcome return on March 2 with its new production of Meet Fred, Theatr presents the Tennessee Williams classic The Glass Menagerie on March 15 and the acclaimed Diary of a Madman is here on April 14.
If comedy-theatre is more to your liking then Frank Vickery will be starring in his very own Tonto Evans from April 18 to 20.

Audiences won’t be short of choice when it comes to live music. Andy Fairweather Low and The Lowriders will be rocking-out with some classic hits on February 20 and there’s a Country and Irish music tribute Forty Shades of Green on March 14.

Cefn Hengoed Ladies Choir will be singing for us on March 17 and the brilliant Big Mac’s Wholly Soul Band returns on April 16.

There are some gorgeous family shows lined up throughout the spring months. The Tap Dancing Mermaid will be shimmying onto stage on February 18, the delicious Shiny (a lovely interactive performance for babies and toddlers) is here on February 24 and the modern fishy-themed fairy-tale Leaper is on April 30.

There’s plenty more on offer including top stand-up comedy from American Comedian Lewis Schaffer on February 19 and there’s a fascinating evening with BBC 2’s Spring Watch and Autumn Watch presenter Iolo Williams WILLIAMS
on February 3. Blackwood Musical Theatre Society will also be here, performing the critically acclaimed musical Return to the Forbidden Planet from April 6 to 9.
