The must-see production in the new season is Critics’ Circle Award-winning company Ballet Cymru’s LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD and THE THREE LITTLE PIGS on May 28. Roald Dahl was born and grew up in Cardiff, and to celebrate the centenary of this famous author, Ballet Cymru has been granted permission from The Dahl Foundation to produce two works based on sections of the wonderful Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes.

We have an eclectic programme of music to suit all tastes. Owen Money and Friends will be here on May 8 and 9, featuring tributes to some of the biggest 1960’s icons in JUKEBOX HEROES. Award-winning Welsh singer-pianist, musical director and Only Men Aloud member, Ross Leadbeater, celebrates his musical favourites from THE GREAT BRITISH SONGBOOK on May 18 and three long term members of The Kinks sing their biggest hits in THE KAST OFF KINKS on May 20 at 7.30pm.

Direct from success in London’s West End, THE SIMON AND GARFUNKEL STORY will be performed on June 4, The Welsh Musical Theatre Orchestra make a welcome return on June 9 with BROADWAY! A NIGHT AT THE MUSICALS and Will Kaufman pays tribute to Woodie Guthrie on June 13 in the “live documentary” WOODIE GUTHRIE: THE LONG ROAD TO PEEKSKILL.

There’s an eclectic mix of drama this season. Spike Milligan’s PUCKOON!, a Goonish blend of theatrical anarchy will leave you in stitches on May 23. MIRAMAR, a darkly funny bilingual play is on June 14 and OH HELLO! a play about the life of Charles Hawtrey, one of the leading lights of the Carry On Film franchise, is on July 16.

There is guaranteed entertainment for children in a selection of shows for all ages. DINOSOUR PARK, an award-winning, laugh-out-loud spin on the Spielberg classic Jurassic Park is on May 9 and THE KING OF THE SKY, an adaptation of the new children’s book by award-winning author Nicola Davies is on June 1. The number one pop show touring the UK right now, POP FACTOR is on June 2 and the creators of Aliens Love Underpants perform the monster-ously good MONSTERSAURUS! on June 8.

If that’s not enough then there is a talk from retired British Police Murder Squad Detective and author Trevor Marriott in THE UK`S WORST SERIAL KILLERS on May 19, and TV astronomer and author Mark Thompson will take you on a fascinating journey of discovery around our universe in THE SHOW AT THE END OF THE UNIVERSE on June 10.
