Flamingos is Newport’s newest LGBT+ bar, which opened in the early part of December last year.
The festive period was a great success for young entrepreneur Rob Steed, who has previously run other clubs in Newport.
“The support from the local community and the people of Newport has been fantastic, said Rob.
“Our aim is to make Flamingos fun, safe and great value for money – hopefully we’ve achieved this with our fantastic drinks prices and welcoming nature.
“The place is packed on the weekends, and everyone has commented on how great the atmosphere is here, just look at all the wonderful comments we’ve had on our Facebook page.
This fun-filled and friendly venue is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Night, from 5pm until late.
A big hit with its regulars is watching people get up on stage and sing their favourite songs karaoke style, which is available every night from 8pm.
Every Saturday night resident drag queen Minnie Cooper is on hand to entertain and make you cry with laughter with her fabulous cabaret act, with plenty of great drinks offers.
Also, once a month there’s a special themed evening at Flamingos, and on Saturday February 25, CC Quinn will be gracing punters with her amazing talent.
As well as being a great place to have a night out in town, Flamingos is also available to hire for private parties, functions, and special occasions.
Why not have your hen or stag party at Flamingos, you can also hold your wedding reception here too, where Rob and his team can arrange the catering, room and entertainment for the evening. Message now for mall details.
Voice’s Vibrant Venue of the Month can be found at 11 High Street, Newport NP20 1FW.
