Based in the heart of South Wales, Newbridge Memo is a Grade II listed building, which opened in 1908 and is a lasting monument to the miners who worked so hard to build it in memory of local servicemen who lost their lives during the First World War.

“We’re exceptionally proud of the modernisation and restoration of the Memo and are committed to providing an excellent service, creating a warm and welcoming environment,” said Mrs Barbara Bevan – Chair of Newbridge Memo.

“We aim to strengthen links with local people, who in turn can help us shape our work, activities and priorities so we can effectively meet everyone’s needs. With a busy modern library, daily classes and events and a variety of evening entertainment, we hope to be a central beacon within the Welsh Valleys for family fun and entertainment.

“As well as fantastic variety of monthly events, our unique building may also be used for engagement parties, weddings, children’s birthdays and businesses meetings – we have a range of rooms to suit your event.

“Our functions rooms are elegantly and modern refurbished, with our main function room having its own bar and kitchen and integrated projector screen. Our ballroom accommodates up to 200 guests and has been sympathetically restored to reflect the Memo’s original 1920’s décor. The Auditorium Theatre can seat 446 delegates and has a fully integrated theatre stage with screening capabilities.
