And then there were none is a period murder mystery based on Agatha Christie's novel and is being brought to life on the stage by Newport Playgoers Society this February – widely considered her masterpiece and described by her as the most difficult of her books to write.

Eight people, all total strangers to each other, are invited to a small, isolated island off the coast of Devon, England, by a Mr. and Mrs. Owen.

Ferried over by a sailor called Narracott, they settle in at a mansion tended by two newly hired servants, Mr and Mrs Rogers, but strangely their hosts are absent.

All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they're unwilling to reveal and a secret that will seal their fate.

When the guests prepare to sit down to dinner, they notice, ten little soldier figurines, suddenly a voice accuses them all of murder – as the weather turns and the group is cut off from the mainland, the killings begin begins and one by one they are brutally murdered in accordance with the lines of a sinister nursery rhyme.

The play was a smash hit in the West End and on Broadway and is one of Christie’s darkest tales. A masterpiece of dramatic construction, its growing sense of dread and unfaltering tension will keep you guessing to the very end.

‘And then there were none’ runs from Tuesday, 13 to Saturday, February 17. Call the box office today to secure tickets – it would make for a great Valentine’s evening of thrills and suspense!
