Over the first three weekends in December, the onsite makers and creative businesses at the Taurus Crafts centre will be joined by over 30 independent traders and hundreds of locally grown fresh cut Christmas trees to create the area’s largest Christmas market, featuring live performances, choirs, singing groups and delicious food and drink.

The centre’s bustling Christmas market showcases the best the area has to offer, with a diverse range of original gifts, jewellery, artworks, crafts, local cider, beer and wine, handmade preserves and sweets.

Not only will you be spoilt for choice at the market, visitors will also have the chance to meet the talented onsite designer-makers based at Taurus Crafts.

“The Christmas markets are the highlight of the year at Taurus Crafts. Last year we saw a record-breaking 10,000 visitors during the three weekends and this year’s market traders attending promise to be better
than ever,” said Tom Haverly, marketing and events manager.

Visitors will be able to get in the festive spirit during the market weekends with performances from local choirs, singing groups and bands. Also, not to be missed is the family festive entertainment marquee full of festive cheer and family fun with magic shows, puppet shows and musical performances for all the family.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a Christmas tree, so why have a locally-grown real tree to adorn your home this year. With a wide selection of trees available, including potted trees and fresh-cut trees up to eight-foot plus, visitors will easily be able to find their perfect tree.

After you have selected your tree why not discover the plethora of tree decorations, cards, wrapping paper, table decorations and lights from the Christmas shop.

“There is a wonderful sense community spirit during our markets and it’s great to see visitors supporting the independent and artisan businesses
we have here during the market weekends, ” says Wendy Firkin, centre manager.

The festive shopping doesn’t stop at the Christmas markets, as visitors can visit the centre during the week to get last minute gifts, Christmas decorations and trees or even just visit for a festive treat with friends. The centre is open from 10am until 5.30pm.
