Llancaiach Fawr is the ideal location for your special day. It sits overlooking the peaceful surroundings of the Rhymney Valley, within 20 acres of attractive grounds. The grade 1 listed historic Manor was built in the mid-16th century and has been restored to its former glory with its interiors furnished and recreated as the 17th century home of Edward Prichard.

The award-winning stone-built Visitor Centre is set in the grounds of the Manor House and contains all the modern facilities you expect from a wedding venue. It has a self-contained Function Suite with a bar and couple often choose to have their wedding breakfast in the conservatory with its delightful views of the surrounding countryside.

“We want to make your day memorable and therefore take only one booking per day to ensure that you receive our undivided attention,” said Lesley Edwards, Assistant General Manager.

“We are licensed for civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies in the Manor House in either the Great Hall or the oak panelled Parlour and in the Visitor Centre in the Conservatory or the Mansell Hall.”

The Conservatory seats up to 70 guests for a ceremony or wedding breakfast and the Mansell Hall seats up to 120 guests for a ceremony or evening reception.   The layout for an evening reception includes ample space for a band or disco and a dance floor.  Both rooms have relatively simple and understated décor so that they will accommodate any colour themes you have chosen for your special day.

The Great Hall in the Manor House can accommodate 50 people and the oak panelled Parlour can hold 30 people for a ceremony. Both rooms are on the first floor of the Manor House and contain 17th century furnishings. They are ideal for couples looking for something a little different and unique in a location for their special ceremony.

There’s a wide range of menu options and prices within the wedding packages, ranging from a hot fork buffet to more elaborate multi-course choices depending upon the nature of the celebration you want to create. All dishes are freshly prepared using seasonal ingredients, with all dietary requirements taken cared of.

Photographs may be taken in the formal gardens during the day and inside the historic Manor House after it has closed to the public in the late afternoon. You will be sure to have a beautiful album of memorable photographs to remember your special day. If you wish to view more wedding photographs taken at Llancaiach, please visit the Facebook Page.
