The Living Levels Landscape Partnership has an exciting programme of events running throughout the year to celebrate the fascinating natural and cultural heritage of the Gwent Levels.  Here is a flavor of what is coming up.

Wild Watch

Would you love to learn more about our Living Levels’ wildlife? Then join us at one of our training days which will give you the confidence, skills and knowledge to help survey and record wildlife on the Gwent Levels.  We have selected 12 target species to concentrate on, one for each month of the year. No previous experience of wildlife recording is necessary - you will be provided with training and support in both species ID and how to record and submit accurate records. As in many parts of the UK, wildlife on the Gwent Levels is under-recorded. This project will help give a clearer picture of a rapidly changing situation. Participants will also receive a free calendar with 12 iconic species of the Gwent Levels.
