Benji’s Barber Shop is owned by Benjamin Sharps, who has fifteen years’
experience in both cutting and styling hair.

Since the age of 11, Benji’s been using a pair of clippers as he received
them as a gift from his uncle on his birthday – a strange present for a young boy, but probably one of the best he’s ever had.

Benjamin told Voice: “I first started out cutting hair for my family and friends and practiced as much as I could on brother – whenever he’d let me!

“I officially qualified in 2014 at level 3, and I’m currently training to get a
qualification in teaching, so I can pass my knowledge on to anyone who wants
to learn.

“Moving forward, I’ll be looking to take on apprentices once I’m qualified.

“We cover all aspects of gent’s barbering from modern style cuts that are
current in the fashion world to traditional styles that cater for all ages, both young and old.

“We provide a very high standard and quality of professional cuts, paying a
lot of attention to detail, from cleaning your sideburns and neck with a traditional razor as well as beard shaping.”

Services include traditional cuts, skin fades, waxing, face masks, beard trims,
and cut-throat razor shaves.

Benjamin and his team take a lot of pride in their work and believe that everyone who enters Benji’s Barber Shop will leave looking good and feeling great, whether it’s for a general trim and tidy-up or for a night on the town, a Benji’s haircut will make you feel more confident, boosting your self-esteem and self-respect.

Dedicated to helping clients wind-down from busy city life, if there’s a queue Benji’s has all bases covered in the form of games consoles, books and magazines, as well as music channels on flat screen TV’s – all you have to do is kick back and relax.

Cuts start from £10 and upwards, and £6 for under-10s and senior citizens. Ladies who prefer short hair are most welcome too, with many female clients already regulars at Benji’s Barber Shop.

As an incentive to help children read more, Benjamin is offering 20% discount to any young person up to the age of 16 who reads any literature whilst having their hair cut.

There is no appointment necessary, just be mindful that it can be quite busy
during peak times, especially on a Friday and Saturday.

Benji’s Barber Shop is open from 9am until 6.30pm, six days a week from
Monday to Saturday. Closed on Sunday.
