Upsa-Daisy is a well-established day care nursery that is located centrally in the Welsh village of Cwmfelinfach and is Voice’s Education Establishment of the Month for August.

Founded in 2006 by managing director Sarah Finnamore, her sole plan was to create a friendly and welcoming environment where children could learn and grow and help them to develop their social skills and interaction with other children and boost their confidence.

Within Upsa-Daisy there are plenty of rooms for fun and learning for all ages, including a sensory garden for playing outside when the sun is shining – and sometimes even when it’s not to make a mud pie or two!

Each room has a name and there’s Butterfly for 0 months to one-year-olds, Daisy for one to two years, Poppy for two to three years and bluebell for preschool children.

Every room comes filled with loads exciting things to do to keep the children stimulated and active, not to mention full of wonderful interactive toys to play with, so there’s never a dull moment at Upsa-Daisy.

Children play with water, sand, paint, dough and all sorts of other interesting messy play. They socialise, sing and dance, participate in stories, conversation, puzzles, building and domestic play.

Children get the chance to stretch their legs in the garden with bikes and trikes, climbing equipment and slides, as well as discovering all about nature and the outdoors in its sensory garden. In June of this year, Upsa-Daisy was awarded a grant by Caerphilly Council to completely refurb the garden, so expect to see a huge refurbishment really soon.

Childcare is offered from 7.30am until 6pm, where freshly-prepared homecooked healthy meals are served throughout the day, recently scoring a 5 out of 5 health and hygiene rating. All dietary requirements are taken care of, and if your child suffers with any food allergies, just let this wonderful team know.

Upsa-Daisy is also registered for tax free childcare and is part of the Flying Start Programme, additionally offering a 30 hours free childcare service for ages three to four for those entitled to it. Call for more details.

So, if you’re looking for a fantastic venue, where your child will be nurtured and cared for with the love and attention that they deserve, why not pay a visit
to Upsa-Daisy and become part of the family?
