Voice’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Gavin Horton of Horton’s Coffee House, would like to thank his loyal customers for their continued support, which has allowed him to invest even more into his venue at Millennium Plaza with a total refurbishment inside.
Work is still ongoing, but there is now a new bar which offers San Miguel and Brooklyn Lager on tap, as well as a whole host of bottled wines and spirits.
As Horton’s is constantly evolving, head chef Jackie Chan has continued to bring fresh ideas to the menu, with his belly pork being an incredibly popular option with the regulars.
There has been a huge calling for more vegan and vegetarian options, so Gavin and Jackie have added a vegan burger covered in a homemade sriracha sauce served with hand-cut chips to the Horton’s menu.
Pizzas, paninis, sandwiches, salads and snacks are still on the menu, as well as a whole host of sweet treats.
Breakfast options are a firm favourite here too, where you can get veggie and vegan version of a full English. A traditional full English breakfast consists of two slices of bacon, two sausages, two hash browns, one egg, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast for only £7.50. There are also half portions available for smaller appetites.
Horton’s is already renowned for its coffee, but did you know that it’s the only coffee house in the city to have not one, but two of its staff members to be accredited by the Speciality Coffee Association – no wonder the coffee here tastes so good!
For the month of December, there will be a choice of festive items on the menu, including a turkey, stuffing and cranberry panini and cinnamon lattes.
Horton’s can also cater for parties and events, ranging from small intimate private dines (maximum 20 people) to larger parties with buffet style food. Options start from as little as £5 per head, offering a range of platters from antipasti to more traditional finger buffets. Please call for more details.
