Run by Christine Birch who also has The Green Flute café at Goytre Wharf, along with the help of her dedicated staff members they offer a sumptuous range of tantalising snacks, main meals and homemade desserts.

Food is served daily from 10am until 4pm, seven days a week, with menu options including a choice of homemade soups, bacon rolls, brunch bagels, jacket potatoes with a choice of fillings, and a variety of wholesome daily specials such as their Fourteen Locks Breakfast.

All produce, wherever possible is sourced locally, with meat supplied form a Newport Butcher.

Every meal is prepared fresh and to order, where they are renowned for making their own cakes and desserts, as well as their own sausage rolls.

This wonderful team can also cater for any dietary requirements, offering gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options – all you need to do is ask.

Throughout December an extra special festive afternoon tea is served, with three options to choose from: meat, vegetarian and vegan. All three choices are priced at £13.95 per person, where three-day notice is required when booking. Treats include a choice of freshly prepared festive sandwiches, Viennese mince pie, Christmas cake finger, chocolate orange welsh cake, tangy lemon slice and raspberry almond crumble, as well as free refills with tea or coffee.

Festive afternoon tea is available from Sunday, December 1 up until Sunday, December 22.
