Tiny Rebel’s Urban Pop Up opened in Newport back in May, and brought brilliant beer to the High Street. The reaction was tremendous back then, and has been overwhelming since Bradley and Gazz closed the doors for the final time.
But it wasn’t goodbye, merely farewell. After months of hard work, Urban Tap House Newport was back. And is here to stay.

Just like its sister bar over in Cardiff, the Newport venue features Tiny Rebel’s award-winning beers, including latest releases and guest ales from breweries from around the world. It also has a suitably impressive menu, with the return of the much loved pizzas and some filthy-huge pasta dishes for you to tuck into.

“It’s much like the pop up, but bigger and better,” said Bradley. “This bar is spread over two floors, with a cosy Cwtch area downstairs.
“We’ll have a bottle selection the likes of which Newport has never seen, for you to enjoy in our cosy Cwtch or to take away.
Not to mention all of our keg beers will be available for Growler fills. Yes ‘en!
“If you don’t like beer a) there’s something wrong with you and b) we’ve got you covered. We’ll have our cider Rocksteady on permanently, our wine list has been very carefully curated (which involved many, very necessary tastings) and there is also a massive selection of the world’s best spirits behind the bar. Urban Tap House Newport will be a haven not just for beer fans, but for whiskey, gin and rum lovers too.
“With the recent opening Friars Walk, Newport is definitely on the rise and were glad to be a part of it.
“We look forward to seeing you very soon. On behalf of everyone at Urban Tap House – Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.”

Urban Tap House can be found at 22-23 High Street, Newport, next door to Newport’s Indoor Market entrance.
